On 4 September, the Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, the Hon Julia Gillard MP, presented awards to the winners of the 2008 Minister's Awards for Excellence for Commitment to Australian Apprenticeships at a gala event held in Canberra.
The Commitment award recognises the lifetime achievements of an individual in relation to the training of Australian Apprentices.
The national winner will receive prize money of $2000, a trophy and certificate.
