On 4 September, the Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, the Hon Julia Gillard MP, presented awards to the winners of the 2008 Minister's Awards for Excellence at a gala event held in Canberra.
The Minister's Award for Support Services Excellence recognises the outstanding contribution made by an individual working in an Australian Apprenticeships Centre. The winner received a certificate commemorating their achievements and a unique trophy.
